
The child of two Sri Lankan immigrants, Nimna Gabadage was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and raised in Tampa, Florida. Currently in his third year at Florida State University, and a member of Honors program, he is studying finance and political science. Gabadage currently serves as the 77th Student Body President of Florida State University and the sole student member of the FSU Board of Trustees. Gabadage is a proud active brother of the Gamma Rho Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity. Prior to his term as Student Body President, Gabadage has been active in the university community in various facets – he has served on the Student Senate, IFC Judicial Board, Theta Chi Executive Board, as deputy chief of staff of the Student Government Association and as vice president and treasurer of the prestigious Garnet and Gold Key Honor Society. Most recently, he was named the first-ever Interfraternity Council Greek Honorman for his contributions to the overall betterment of the Greek community at FSU. Gabadage enjoys playing piano, cheering on FSU athletics, and promoting physical wellness through his work as a NSCA Certified Personal Trainer for FSU Campus Recreation. Following graduation, Gabadage aspires to jointly obtain his J.D. and MBA in advance of a career in public policy and governmental affairs.
